Our investigator has a baptismal font in their backyard.

Hello everyone! How is life? Mine is WONDERFUL. I am having so much fun everyday, I can't even believe it. The rain here has been CRAZY but so badly needed. We wake up almost every night to a lighting and thunder storm. It's hectic, and now the mosquitoes decided Borger would be their new hang-out place, so I am being eaten alive. But, it is making everything SO green and SO pretty. People are actually saying Borger is pretty these days, which is NEVER said here.

Anyway, we have been blessed and busy recently. Our investigators are doing really well. One of them, Mario, is progressing so quickly. When we first met with him, about 3 weeks ago, he said there was no way he could have faith in a book called the Book of Mormon, but now he says he knows it is true and he wants to be baptized! He is still hesitant to set an official date, because he is afraid to "sign the dotted line", as he calls it, but I know that will be overcome quickly with the way he is progressing! Just pray that we can set a date with him and that it will go through.

Janie is out of the hospital!!! She has a loooong road of recovery ahead of her, but that means we will be able to visit with her a ton:) She and Doug were so sad that they didn't get to make it to the temple this week, but they are still doing so well. They love being members of this church. They way our ward has just taken such good care of them is amazing! I am so grateful for the love they feel from the ward. Just keep praying for them too!! They need it. And hopefully I'll be able to stay in Borger another transfer and go to the temple with them, but who knows!

Wednesday night Sister Vance and I had a pizza night for dinner. It was a party and I love being companions with her...SO MUCH. Random addition to the letter, but I wanted to include it:)

On Saturday, we got to go to the temple! That was the best temple trip I have ever had. First, we got to drive with Karla and the Longs. When we got in the car, we noticed a moth, so we tried to get it out by opening the window...and another 5 flew in!! They were ATTACKING. It was so nasty. But once they were gone, it was onto the next adventure of the drive...the FLOODS. Holy cow, the roads were so bad. This part of the country isn't used to this kind of rain, so all us cars were swerving all over the highway trying not to slide off the road. Once we finally got there all safe and sound, we got to go do baptisms. It was Karla's first time, and she was so excited. You could just tell. Her glow and smile were evidence of the truthfulness that this gospel brings the fullness of joy that we are all searching for in this life! Being in the temple with her was the coolest experience I've ever had. She seeks the spirit so much in her life, and being in a place where the spirit is so strong, she felt at home. It was so wonderful.

When we left the temple, we met up with our member Crystal. She is doing so well and working so hard to be ready to be fully active in the church. The progress she's made in the 4 months I've been here is incredible. We were able to walk around the temple and go in the waiting room with her and her daughter, Mariah. They were so happy to be there, and you could just feel how the spirit was impacting her. The temple is so powerful, out side or inside, we can know that it is the Lord's home just by the peace it brings.

This week is transfer calls, so we'll see if I stay. I have no idea what to hope for, but I know I'll be where the Lord wants me! I'll let y'all know where I end up:)

Love you!

I don't know if that is a really good thing or a really weird thing
